Come Fly With Me! Let's Fly, Let's Fly Away!

     In just a few short hours, I will be leaving the sunny west coast and head to the East. This will only be my second trip to the east coast and my first to New York. The thing that excites me is the culture of New York. I can only assume that the information I picked up from TV shows and movies have some level of truth to them.
     I will only be in New York for 5 short days, but I hope to absorb as much as I possibly can. While living the life of a tourist (seeing the sights, visiting museums, and watching shows) I also hope to have a chance to blend in with and move to the beat of the city, to be able to experience a life in the New Yorkers' shoes, at least for these few short days.
     My friends, sister, cousin, and I have planned out what seems to be a jam-packed schedule, with a few openings here and there for some free time. I have become acquainted with the Metro system and have realized that as a traveler, Google Maps can indeed be my best friend. (Thank you technology!) Our show tickets have been purchased (MONTHS in advance to ensure we get the best seats), my bag is nearly almost packed. Still, it feels so surreal.
     This will be my first official vacation in almost three years. I am definitely looking forward to seeing this as a vacation, a time for me and my own enjoyment.
     "Come fly with me! Let's fly, let's fly away!" New York, here we come!
